Journalist | Poet

This is Amir Muhammad, a Bangladeshi journalist, facilitator, and writer.  He Covering and focusing on Crime, ACC, ICT, and Financial Crime. He completed his graduation in Pure Physics from National University in 2004.

Amir began his journalism career in Kushtia at 1997, but professionally start his journalism career in 2004 at MuktakanthaWork for a renowned daily in Bangladesh The Daily ITTEFAQ as a senior reporter. He is also a writer and Blogger.

And He is an experienced Facilitator with a demonstrated history of working in the NGO industry. He has experience working with both national and international platforms, including- USAID, UN Peacekeeping, the Asian foundation, Institute for Environment and Development (IED), Journalism Training and Research Initiative (JATRI), and Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB).

He is an optimistic and enthusiastic learner. Always keen to learn from everything around. Have good communication and convincing skills over people. He likes to carry out his responsibilities with courage and devotion while on duty, solving comprehensive and non-comprehensive problems with his knowledge and hard work.

Since 2000, from a young age, He has been involved in volunteering, leading, and training young people for community development. Under his supervision, leadership, and facilitation, more than 1000 young people, parents, grass root community people, and volunteers have been reached and shared awareness on Legal Aid, child protection, youth leadership, gender equality, social Cohesion, digital literacy, peace and social accountability and journalism field.

He was recently elected as office Secretary for the Dhaka Union of Journalists, its a professional trade union of journalists based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The union monitors freedom of speech and violence against journalists in Bangladesh.
